Books & Music :: Lauryn Hill's Song, 'Selah,' a Modern Psalm 

The tears were flowing at Sunday night's American Music Awards'and they weren't just tears of joy from your winners. News posted video in the raw performance that culminated with Gomez in tears as she delivered the song that was inspired by her on-off relationship with Justin Bieber.

 I love listening to the radio. I love listening to upcoming events that I am interested in leading to contests that I can enter and aspire to win. I also love hearing songs by the best artists. In addition to hearing songs that I like, however, I also hear songs that I hate. Often, I keep radio stations on during these songs and employ the time whilst the song is playing to step away from the radio to check my computer. I examine the modern topics trending on Twitter at the newest headlines which have sprouted since I last checked them. I then determine if several of such items will inspire any article ideas. Finally, I examine my listing of article ideas and see if I could get articles started. Perhaps you also hear the air. You like lots of the songs which you hear. There are some current songs, however, that get on your nerves. When you hear these songs, what do you do?

The song was definitely in Sawyer Fredericks' wheelhouse. He's folked up a few songs on his cost the finale, songs like Christina Perri's "A Thousand Years" and Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Simple Man." And he didn't stray far from his defining groove with Neil Young's "Old Man" and Buffalo Springfield's "For What It's Worth," let alone the song that turned four chairs in the Blind Auditions, "A Man Of Constant Sorrow."

EFT, short for Emotional Freedom Techniques, mental poison and self-image are said being kept active by energy. This is just like a horribly bright light that keeps you awake all night being maintained by too much electricity. Of course, we can shut off that harsh too-bright a light and get some nice sleep, right? Well, EFT can take away the unwanted extra "electricity" turn off those annoying negative self-critical images. Then your system is your personal and you will understand the real you hiding behind that ugly construct of one's mind. Here are some suggestions how.

Although "Please" might have been a new song for most, Ray LaMontagne fans might remember it through the self-released album Introducing Ray LaMontagne that arrived in 2003, only a year before his gold-certified album, Trouble, would be released. Unlike several of LaMontagne's songs on Introducing Ray LaMontagne (like "Trouble"), "Please" have not managed to get onto any of the major label studio albums he released on the next decade. It qualified as a possible Original Song on "The Voice" as it was not ever released like a single.
